31 Days of Brave Hearts || Day 22, Ronda Howard

She always asks the best questions.  She is quiet yet oh so strong.  And her eyes light up a room.  Meet Ronda.

What is your superpower? I am Super Fill-in Woman. I can fill in to do anyone’s job and I am the first one called when there is a need but no one to save the day or divert the crisis. I never give up on me or the ones I love! I know I can pull through no matter what the obstacle.

Who do you adore? I adore my dad. He is kind and good hearted. He taught me to be strong and take care of what is mine. He was tough and he let me know when I disappointed him and when he was proud of me. He doesn’t have to have material things to be happy, just the love of his family and friends. I so hope I have passed this down to my own children.

Describe your brave heart outfit. It is made of flowers, leaves and cotton. White and flows in the wind. It smells of fall leaves and camp fire. It lights up the night and keeps all safe.

Your mother always told you…To be modest…to be a good person. She showed me through her actions how to treat people. I’ve never heard her say a mean word about anyone. That is a very hard thing to do….not joining in when someone is bad mouthing another…but she never has. She is a super woman.

What/where is your happy place? My happiest place is outside surrounded by trees and quiet.

Who do you secretly want to be? I have always wanted to be Loretta Lynne. I love her music and she seems so brave, but down to earth.

How has your work changed you? It has made me more aware of the people around me, that they may be trying to be strong and survive, so I should never judge and try to be understanding and forgiving.

What fuels you? My family fuels me, I am their support and I will always be! I have to be able to be there and care for them.

What’s the best advice you were given about your work? Take care of you.  Always set aside time to do something for you.

What’s in your office? Tons and tons of training material and books, but also pictures of my kids and my Elvis doll.

I secretly love…old clothes like from the 60’s so I love going to flea markets and just looking.

What are the tools of your trade? I love to teach others, I can make most things fun and about the learner not me.

What are you scared of? I’m scared of dying alone, that’s why I hate to travel alone.

What did you study? Education.

What is one outrageous thing you’d love to own? A big house boat, so I could camp on the water. That would be the best!

What gives you courage? Looking back on my life and knowing I’ve been through worse. If I can make it through all that I can definitely be brave enough to move forward.
