Call of the Wild || a jam session

I have a dream that has a life of it’s own.  And it loves company.

Years ago I fell in love with the idea of a retreat on wheels.  A cozy little nest to bring to my clients who were often working on the front lines of crisis intervention in shelters and rape crisis centers.   It started as a picture from a magazine.  After a long road of detours and adventures, this little dream has come to life with new visions and soon she’ll make her big debut.

I’ve picked my dream—now you pick yours.  You have dreams and they are waiting for you to say yes.

What do you want to make happen in the next six months?  What would rock your world?  What dream of yours wants to come to life, too?

You pick one dream.  I’ll bring the fuel.

What this is:  Call of the Wild is a one-off jam session when you are ready to hunt down your dream.  You will get a downloadable Field Book of prompts to declare and define your dream.  We will meet by phone or Skype for 90 minutes to map out your hot tracks of action.  I’ll bring all my questions, all my resources, all my expertise, all my lessons learned.  You will get notes of our session and then two top-secret goodies sent just to you as added fuel in the weeks following your session.    

What you need:  Email to download your Field Book and a phone or computer to jam with me!

Who this is for:  This is for you if you have a dream that you just can’t shake.  This is for you if you woke up with a dream of your new thing.  This is for you if you are great at coming up with the idea but need help in figuring out a plan to make it happen.

Brave Hearts || 21 days of email love

What it is:  This is a free course by email, a love offering from me to you.  For 21 days you will receive one email from me each day with a brave heart assignment.  A quick photo in the hallway or on the way to work.  A quick love note via text.  I know that finding time for breaks in this kind of work can be difficult so each assignment will take just five minutes.  And you get to go completely at your own pace.  Do what assignments you want, when you want to do them.

What you need:  To join in, you will need a camera (your phone will work just fine), paper and pen, as well as access to the internet and email.

Who this is for:  This course is for the advocates, crisis counselors, therapists and counselors, all of you who work on the front line of hearing stories of trauma as well as transformation.  This is for you if you want an easy way to hear yourself, to see with fresh eyes, and to connect back to your own brave heart.  Although we will have writing and photo assignments, you don’t need any experience at all writing or taking photographs.  Promise!

Wanderlust || an online adventure

What it is: This is an online course delivered to your email inbox. Each week you will receive four emails from me filled with prompts for exploring, interviews with pioneer spirits, and peeks into my own adventures of getting lost. We will have a private Facebook page (optional to join) to gather and share our adventures and our questions. You will be encouraged to go at your own pace and I’ll be available for gentle coaching and support. 

Why Wanderlust? To me, wanderlust is all about desire. Desire for new adventures and uncharted territory. Whispers and secret messages. What if we let ourselves get lost in the exploring? What if we opened to searching with new eyes, in new places, through unexpected ways? What might we find?

Your story as we know it starts here. And, by the end of the Wanderlust course, I want you to have the clues and messages that point towards your next path. Our destination? You and your next dream.

Outlaw Letters || 7 days by email

What it is:  This is a free course by email, a love missile from me to you.  Sign up and I’ll send you a letter writing prompt each day of the course.  Five prompts.  Five letters.  Starting as soon as you sign up.

Why Outlaw Letters?  Because these will be no ordinary letters.  They will be the letters you didn’t know you still carry, the ones that want to escape.  Wild and reckless and surly drunk on freedom.

You get to write as much or as little as you want.  You can keep these letters tucked inside your journal, scribbled on a napkin in your satchel, or posted on your blog.  You can keep these letters close to your heart–or mailed across the country to the person who needs to read them most.

What you need:  Your favorite writing supplies

Who this is for:  This free course is for you if you have words that want to be written.  Words you are ready to lay down.  Stories that need to spill.  This course is for you if you are curious about the letters inside of you.
